Kroger / Fred Meyer Daytona 500 Savings Game (FREE Prizes!)

Oh the fun of free prizes! I get pretty excited over winning a tub of Country Crock, let me tell you...
Go HERE to play the new online Daytona 500 game through Kroger's website. They don't list Fred's as a store option, but just sign into the Kroger site with your Fred's info and it works fine to load the e-coupon onto your Fred's card if you win.
Leave a reply if you win because I find it fun to see what others win. My mom won Gatorade and my friends won Easy Mac and Cracker Jacks. Odds are pretty good you'll win too!

Fred Meyer Kick Off to Savings Game (FREE Prizes!)
Yay! I love these games...you usually end up winning if you can play at the right time of day (try midnight!) and never know what you'll win.
Head over HERE and and try your luck. I don't understand football at all, but I think it's a random game anyway. Haha! Let me know if/what you win!
Contest ends on Sept. 24 and just started on Sept. 11.

Quick Fred's Shopping Trip
Since pictures are so much fun...here is my quick Fred's trip this morning!
Nerds were .59 each and there was a peelie coupon on the display for B1G1, so .30 each!
Clif Crunch Bars are on sale this month for 2.50 and there is a 1.00 coupon in the health food magazine right down the aisle from them. If you haven't tried these, I highly recommend you do-they are delicious!
The cake mixes were .99 each and I found a bunch of coupons for 1.00/2 in the WalMart in Iowa so these were .50 each and I used all the mixes today too!
Horizon milks were 1.00 each. Carr's has hanging coupons for $1.00/2 any Horizon product coupons right in front of the chilled milk section, so I used one of those to test it to see if it beeped-it didn't! .50 each is CHEAP for these!
The Scrubbing Bubbles cleaner and the Ziploc bags were FREE with coupons I received from writing to the companies! So was the Suave Body Wash, except that was a FREE coupon from a Facebook promotion. (These were all expiring the end of this month so I wanted to use them before I forgot!)
In all I spent a little over $6.00!
Keep couponing and keep an eye out for new peelies/hanging coupons that I've started seeing a lot of lately!

Time is flying, but here's a cheap cereal deal!
I'm SO sorry it has been so long since I've blogged! We get loaded with company every summer since we are the only ones in our circle of family and friends who don't live in the midwest! I love having company though and taking a couponing/freebie/sweepstakes break during the summer is necessary because it is just too short to be sitting on the puter all day!
But this week at Fred's there is a really great deal with Rice Krispies (and other Kellogg's cereal) combined with a rebate for a Visa card that I wanted to share!
Fred's weekly in ad coupon is for a limit of 4 boxes and brings the price down to $2.00 each.
Buy 4 boxes of Rice Krispies marked with the $5 Cars Cash in the lower right hand corner
Use two $1.00/2 Rice Krispie coupon (print twice)
Pay $6.00 oop and submit for the $5 Visa card through the Cars Cash site (enter codes inside box).
Also, hang onto the UPC codes to gather 10 participating Kellogg's cereal UPC's and get $10 back, details HERE!
I happen to have two UPC's for rice krispies already so I'll do this deal twice and end up making $1.00 per box!

$10 REI card for purchasing $5 Peanut Butter!

Thanks to Frugal Living NW about this deal!
There are rebate forms hanging right in front of Adam's 100% Natural Peanut Butter at the Fred's in Eagle River, and today it is on sale 2/$5. The rebate is in the form of a $10 REI card when you buy two jars of PB and limited to one per household.
I picked up two forms (one for my mom) and after stopping by Carr's on the way home, they have Adam's P.B. back in the markdown section for $1.65 each! There were probably about a dozen jars left as of noon today.

Another Fred's run!
Okay, since pictures are SO fun, here's my haul today. (Since we are leaving town I really want to use up my GOOD coupons before they expire the end of January, thus another Fred's trip!)

Writing to companies has been one of the biggest ways I've found to get coupons for free products. Whether it is complimenting or complaining, they usually send you a coupon to try their products. With the new year, I'll start following Couponing to Disney's plan and attempt to write to a few different ones each day. This is how I received the Kashi free frozen item that is pictured. Paired with my 2.00 frozen food Fred's reward coupon, I ended up with 2.00 in overage to help pay for other items.

Total spent: $2.89. Crazy, eh?!

Fred's for under $20
I'm not going to go into all the details because couponing friends will know where most of the deals came from! Mom went with me so she got her old lady, I mean her senior discount of 10% on the organicky (that's a word, right?!) stuff.

The vitamins were both free because this past summer I was one of the first 1,000 entries or something like that on a giveaway. I was in complete shock that I actually won that and still have 3 more coupons for free vitamins. They are B1G1 this week so that makes them both free! Yay, love that!
If you use the Fred's in ad coupon for the cereal, be sure to use the B1G1 Special K manufacturers coupon first, then the Fred's one. That way 3.00 comes off making them 1.00/box.
So everything here was under $20.
That's extreme couponing.
Alaska style.
