$10 REI card for purchasing $5 Peanut Butter!

Thanks to Frugal Living NW about this deal!

There are rebate forms hanging right in front of Adam's 100% Natural Peanut Butter at the Fred's in Eagle River, and today it is on sale 2/$5. The rebate is in the form of a $10 REI card when you buy two jars of PB and limited to one per household.

I picked up two forms (one for my mom) and after stopping by Carr's on the way home, they have Adam's P.B. back in the markdown section for $1.65 each! There were probably about a dozen jars left as of noon today.

The Adams Peanut butter is on sale for 2/5.00 until 2/1/11 by my monthly ad (just got it yesterday :). So, that's some good news for people who don't get out shopping much.

Makes me wish I needed peanut butter (still oh so tempting *laugh*), but I have literally a case of JIF in my pantry (years of "Hey am I out of peanut butter?" and buying it because I was worried. Until one day I got a shelf put up for a pantry and was able to dig out all of the peanut butter I had. Now I'm drowning in it, although I'm not complaining :).

Wow, we spend so much at REI it will be worth it to purchase the peanut butter and donate (although I'll probably end up using it in cookies). Thanks for the info, I will be checking this out tomorrow.

Well, duh. I never thought to donate it. Good idea! It might be worth it for the 5.00 money maker :).

We got our REI card yesterday. Thanks for the heads up on this one. The card came just in time for the winter clearance sale.

I just sent off for mine like five days ago or so (got delayed because of our trip). I got off doubly lucky in that I wrote to Smuckers on a completely different matter; to complain about a separated thing of jelly I'd actually gotten as a gift for Christmas through a mail order outfit, but it was still THEIR jelly so I complained to them. To make up for the mess they sent me a coupon for a free product and some .55/1 Smuckers product coupons. So, I was able to get in on the sale and get one thing of peanut butter for free and the other one for less than 2.00. Life was good there. Talk about a cheap Christmas gift =).
